A part of your startx.log:
============================================================
(--) SVGA: There is no mode definition named "640x480"
(--) SVGA: Removing mode "640x480" from list of valid modes.
(--) SVGA: There is no mode definition named "800x600"
Fatal server error:
No valid modes found.

As you can see there is not valid modelines for your monitor.
You have to correct modelines in your XF86config or add a new one
suitable for your monitor. Begin with 640x480.
It is possible to calculate your own modeline(s).
I did it. I have a book
_Linux Installation and Getting Started_ Copyright (c) 1992-1994 Matt Welsh

and it describes how to do that. Unfortunately it is Russian translation,
but i hope you can find it in the Internet.
Hope it helps.
