The man page for the setterm in the rpm at
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/4.2/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/util-linux-2.5-38.i386.rpm
lists a "-blank [ 0-60 ]" option. I'm pretty sure that's a libc5
distribution, so with any luck the setterm should work in mulinux.
Otherwise there must be a matching source rpm for compiling it yourself.
