The XFree86 3.3.5 documentation says that S3 Virge is supported by the
3.3.5 XSVGA driver. You can download a libc5 version, which is what you
need for mulinux, from
http://csociety-ftp.ecn.purdue.edu/pub/XFree86/3.3.5/binaries/Linux-ix86-libc5/Servers/
(that's all one line, with no spaces, in case the mailer wraps it).
There is an XF86_S3V in that directory as well, but the documentation
says you should use XSVGA instead, without explaining why.
XFree86 seems to have stopped supporting libc5 after 3.3.5.
Good luck.
