Hi Michele,
1. The first floppy has everything to access the web, download files and
uncompress them.
2. There are two great free (for personal use) antivir-progs for
Linux[1][2]
What about the following idea?
1. I start into mulinux.
2. I choose "search vor viri"
3. muLinux creates a Ramdisk (5MB should be enough)
4. muLinux downloads the needed files and signature updates of one of the
two antivir-programms to that ramdisk[1b][2b]
5. they are extracted to that Ramdisk
6. You can search all your HD vor viri.
advantages:
-always up to date
-you scan from a perfectly clean environment
-nothing else is needed on the floppy, just a script to execute the above
commands
disadvantages:
-download may take some time on slow connections (1,5-2MB), but that
doesn't matter, if you are infected with a virus
