No Way my friend! Neither forcing io=0xd000 nor with io=''.

BTW, whynot to do a fun addon with all that sound stuff (mpg123 ...) and
reserving space for some game or more...

Try filling in the io and IRQ parameters when doing the setup with "" rather
than the '' as suggested in the setup text.......I experienced the same
problem today using a 3c509b card.........replaced '' with "" and it works
just fine now.
the "" represents an empty string.
