I was mistaken on the version I gave you for my muLinux. According to the version file in /etc I have version 7r12b. I tried changing my guest account to root, but then my windows machine kept asking for a password. Still can only print using a manual lpr command. I suppose I could use CRON, but that seems a little clunky to me. -Dave.

Anyway, my first project has been to create a simple print server from an old 486 machine we had sitting around the office. I've gotten muLinux up and running ok, and can even the box it on my network. I am using SMB to share a couple of printers and can print to a spool directory from a Windows environment, but for some reason or another I can't seem to get the file to the printer..... Any help on this would be great! -Dave.

Please, very important point to me: what's the release number?
Check the file /etc/samba/base. Do you see the (very ugly) row
guest account = root ?
