Thanks Michele. The '~.' sequence kills the program
and apparently resets the modem as well. I ended up
building a real minicom (1.83.0) on a libc5 machine,
which allows me to manually connect up with my ppp
server. For the pppd part, I have to essentially re-
work the options and -secrets* files; things are still
a bit unstable but now the connections can be made.
Thanks for your help -- muLinux is cool and just what
I need!
