Thanks, Michele - I tried miterm -l /dev/ttyS2 which pauses the machine for
a few seconds and then says "carrier failed, disconnecting", or something
like that. If it's any help, having typed ppp-on and let it start drawing
.............................. lines across my screen, if I go to another
console and look at ifconfig I get the following:
lo Link encap: Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Bcast:127.255.255.255 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP BROADCAST LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:3584 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
Whether that means anything I don't know (it doesn't to me, but I'm quite
new to this Linux game) as I normally hear the relay click when the modem
starts up,
but there is not even that so it looks as if muLinux has not even found it
correctly.
