I like timestamps.

/oset timestamp <number of seconds, 0 to disable>

shows something like

[=Time=] Sat Jun 24 01:26:52 PKT 2000

at least every <number of seconds>.

/oset timestamp_msg true

shows

<user[hh:mm]> message

timestamps.
