Familiar v0.8.4-rc2 is now available. This is the second release candidate for v0.8.4. Although this release candidate comes with many improvements, it is not yet considered a stable release. Please use the current stable release v0.8.2 if you want to be on the safe side.
Update: The original -rc2 images for h2200 and hx4700 had some bugs due to problems with the image creation process. For these machines, the download page now points to -rc2.3 images which fix those issues.
Also note that the feeds for v0.8.4-rc2 are not yet complete. In addition to the v0.8.4-rc2 feeds, you can use the v0.8.2 feeds or file a request to have packages added.
Please enter bugs in v0.8.4-rc2 into Handhelds.org Bugzilla. Here is a handy link for creating a Familiar v0.8.4-rc2 bug report if you have trouble deciphering which component to submit a bug report against.

Upgrading to v0.8.4-rc2 is currently not recommended, since the upgrade path is not fully tested. Upgrading will work with the final v0.8.4 release.
If you want to help testing the upgrade path, make sure to upgrade ipkg before anything else:
ipkg update && ipkg install ipkg && ipkg upgrade
There have been several release candidates but no final release for v0.8.3. Upgrading to v0.8.4 from one of those release candidates will therefore not be supported.
