MajorTeach Homepage
MajorTeach is a perlscript and some info files that can teach you how to remember things more easily. It teaches the Major memory system, and helps you practice.
After having practiced with MajorTeach for a while, you can remember
lists of 100 items easily, as well as long numbers (like, all your
friends phone numbers etc.) Don't need any more palm pilots.
There is a description on how it all
works, and the example peg list is here.
You can download it here. It's GPL.
If you have any feedback, or Ideas on how to improve it, let me know.
Plans:
- Use LibLearn eventually. That would improve comprehension and learn time.
- Incorporate peg list into various other apps, like: LingoTeach, gPeriodic and others. So that one peg list, well learned, can be used to learn any languages or set of facts in no time. To do this, a library would need to be created (libmajor?) that keeps track of the pegs that have been used recently.
This project happily lives on the Savannah.
