mp3tools - Tools to manage a collection of MPEG audio files

mp3tools is a set of utilities (mp3id3, mp3info, mp3index, and mp3gui) for managing collections of MPEG audio files. It can get information such as bitrate and play length about a file, view and alter ID3 tags, and generate completely customized listings.

mp3info shows the play length, bitrate, MPEG version and layer of an MPEG audio file. mp3id3 shows the ID3 tags from an MPEG audio file and let you change them. mp3index generates customized listings of your MPEG audio files. It comes with a sample "format file", which is how mp3index determines what to make the output look like.

The final part of mp3tools is mp3gui, a graphical user interface with all the power of mp3info, and mp3id3 in addition to being a frontend to mp3index. With mp3gui, you don't need to use command-line arguments.
